Virtual platform resilience review
A review of workload placement, dependencies and how the virtual platform would behave when a host or site failed.
Challenge
Clusters had been expanded to absorb growth. Recovery objectives existed on paper; they had not been tested against actual placement and storage behaviour.
Solution
Placement, replication and failure domains were reviewed against the stated recovery objectives. Gaps were written as a sequenced remediation list, not a new product shortlist.
Outcome
Leadership had a plain account of residual risk, and engineering had a prioritised list that fitted the next maintenance calendar.
