Datacentre recovery design
A multi-platform estate needed a recovery sequence teams could execute during a site-level failure — not a slide of intent.
Challenge
Workloads spanned virtual platforms, Microsoft infrastructure and network paths that had never been written down as a single recovery order. Ownership of each gate was assumed rather than assigned.
Solution
Dependencies were mapped across platforms, recovery gates were defined, runbooks were aligned to the people who would run them, and validation checkpoints were added to each technical workstream.
Outcome
A clearer recovery sequence, named owners and a path for tabletop and live testing. The plan is now an operational artefact, not a project leftover.
